YEREVAN, April 2. /ARKA/. Armenia’s first post-Soviet president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the leader of the opposition election bloc called Congress-PPA Party, voted on Sunday at his polling station. "I voted and fulfilled my civic duty," he told journalists after voting.
According to reports form the polling station, Ter-Petrosyan faced a technical problem when trying to vote, when the identification device failed to recognize his index fingerprint. He had to place all his ten fingers to device, which eventually recognized his fingerprint.
Asked by journalists about possible cause of the malfunction, Ter-Petrosyan joked: "because of agricultural work."
Earlier similar technical problems were recorded during the voting of the incumbent Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan, as well as ex-foreign minister Vartan Oskanian. -0-
