STEPANAKERT, March 12. /ARKA/. The ministry of defense of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) refuted the allegation of a raid attempt by its army of defense.

“The information disseminated by Azerbaijan’s ministry of defense alleging that NKR’s army of defense subdivisions made a raid attempt on Azeri positions overnight, is not true and is another fruit of sick imagination of the Azerbaijani propaganda”, Karabakh ministry of defense statement says, as cited by Novosti-Armenia.

At the same time, Karabakh ministry of defense says that Azerbaijani military violated the cease fire along the line of contact about 200 times on the night into Thursday.

The report says over 4,000 shots were fired at Karabakh positions from various caliber guns, including 60mm mortar launchers.

“The frontline divisions of NKR Army of Defense are in control of the operational-tactical situation”, says the report.

Karabakh ministry of defense stresses the full responsibility for the tense situation on the frontline lies with the Azerbaijani side, according to the report. –0--
