Karabakh soldier killed in Azerbaijani troops’ shelling

Karen Ulubabyan, 22, a conscript soldier at the Karabakh army, was killed thins night on the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces in a fire opened by the Azerbaijani side, the press office of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s press office reported Monday morning.
The circumstances of this killing are being investigated now.
The defense ministry offers its condolences to the fallen soldier’s family and friends.
According to the press release, Azerbaijani troops breached ceasefire here 55 times this night by firing more than 430 shots.
The shelling was especially intensive on the eastern section of the contact line – 92 shots from sniper riffles and two shells from an 82-mm mortar.
The Karabakh army resorted to a return fire. --0----
