Maiden meeting of club of young intellectuals from CIS to take place in Yerevan on February 29 - March 1

YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. The maiden meeting of the Club of Young Intellectuals from the CIS countries is scheduled to take place in Yerevan on February 29 - March 1. The goal of this project is to help shape up discussion platforms for the development of professional communication among young professionals in the humanities from Russia and several other former Soviet republics making the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The next meetings of the Club will be hosted by Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan.

The event will bring to the Armenian capital young political scientists, historians, sociologists, journalists and experts in the field of international relations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia.

The key speakers at the gathering will be Konstantin Petrosov, Board chairman of Novosti Armenia news agency, associate professor of Russian State Humanitarian University Sergey Markedonov, senior fellow from the Russian Institute of Economics Aza Mihranyan and some others.

The project is a joint effort of the Russian Political Science Center "North-South" for the development of information and scientific ties with foreign countries and  the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS member states. -0-
