People should always remember the Armenian genocide and give an adequate assessment of it, Russian ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin said today.

YEREVAN, April 24. /ARKA/. People should always remember the Armenian genocide and give an adequate assessment of it, Russian ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin said today.

“We should always remember the past – there is no future without the past”, Volinkin told Novosti-Armenia after his visit to Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial in Yerevan.

Those events were really a tragedy not only for Armenia, but also for Europe and the mankind, the ambassador said.

Volinkin stressed people should talk about those events as much as possible so that similar tragedies happen never again. –0--
