Monitoring of line of contact between armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan proceeds without incidents

On November 21, in accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the line of contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Askeran direction, near the village of Bash Karvend.

YEREVAN, November 21. / ARKA /. On November 21, in accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the line of contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Askeran direction, near the village of Bash Karvend. 

The monitoring proceeded without incidents, Nagorno-Karabakh foreign ministry said.

It said from the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was  conducted by Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Evgeny Sharov (Ukraine) and Hristo Hristov (Bulgaria), as well as by Karabakh foreign and defense ministries’ representatives. 
On the other side were Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic), a Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Peter Svedberg, a member of the OSCE Office. -0-
