Nalbandyan outlines Armenia’s foreign policy priorities in Paris

Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan delivered a report about Armenia’s foreign policy priorities in the French Institute of International Relations Tuesday, the press office of the foreign ministry reported.

YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan delivered a report about Armenia’s foreign policy priorities in the French Institute of International Relations Tuesday, the press office of the foreign ministry reported.

Nalbandyan described Armenia-France relations, Armenia-EU cooperation, the country’s priorities in CE chairmanship and its approaches on a number of regional and international programs.

In the audience were ambassadors accredited to France, high ranking officials of French foreign ministry and other government agencies, reputable experts and reporters, as well as representatives of major French companies.

After his speech Nalbandyan answered numerous questions from the audience.

On the same day Armenian FM met with French senator and chairman of foreign and defence commission Jean-Louis Carrere.  The sides stressed the role of the parliaments in further development of Armenia-France friendly relations and discussed a number of regional and international issues. Nalbandyan presented Armenia’s approaches on South Caucasus problems.

Later on the same day Nalbandyan met with France national assembly members and Armenia-France parliament friendship group. Armenian FM appreciated contribution of French parliament members in development of relations between the countries.

Members of France’s national assembly and the senate assured Nalbandyan they will continue their efforts to expand the cooperation.

Late in the afternoon Nalbandyan met with representatives of leading French mass media and reputable political analysts and discussed the pressing global issues with them.–0—
