There is no alternative to peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, Kristian Vigenin, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Special Representative on the South Caucasus, said Monday as met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan.
YEREVAN, May 24. /ARKA/. There is no alternative to peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, Kristian Vigenin, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Special Representative on the South Caucasus, said Monday as met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan.
Vigenin congratulated Sargsyan on the important step taken in Vienna to settle Karabakh conflict by peaceful means.
At the same time, he stressed that plenty efforts are still needed to achieve a long-term peace.
“I reaffirm that the OSCE PA sees no alternative for the peaceful settlement for Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the OSCE PA fully supports the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” Vigenin said.
Sargsyan, on his side, stressed the importance of the role the OSCE plays in ensuring security to Europe.
He said that the rich experience of Vigenin, as lawmaker and former member of the Bulgarian government, enables him to consider problems comprehensively. --0----
