Only 12.5% of votes may be obtained by unfair methods – sociologist
YEREVAN, February 24. /ARKA/. Aharon Adibekyan, head of SOCIOMETER Center for Sociology Studies, is convinced that only 12.5% of votes may be received by unfair methods, and the remaining 87.5% of voters will vote at their own discretion and will make their own choice.

Speaking Friday at a news conference, he said referring to the center-conducted survey that only 1.3% of voters may sell their votes for a bribe, but this is not significant.

“But there are 11.23% of voters who have social problems, and they are ready to cast their votes to those who will solve these problems,” he said.

Adibekyan thinks the images of members of parties are more important to voters than bribes.

He said 50% of voters have their jobs and businesses and they have already got accustomed to the regime where they can work and they don’t want any change.

In his words, the majority of the surveyed people expressed affection for Karen Karapetyan, prime minister, Gagik Tsarukyan, an entrepreneur, and Serzh Sargsyan, president.

In his opinion, they will be the key political figures in the parliamentary elections. --0---
