OSCE chairman-in-office expects Minsk group to step up its work
YEREVAN, July 15. /ARKA/. The  OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ukrainian  Foreign Minister  Leonid Kozhara said  the OSCE Minsk Group could step up its efforts to ensure progress in the negotiations on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"We support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and we believe that the Minsk Group could work more actively to produce some practical results, because no international conflict was resolved after conferences and meetings. A fruitful practical work is needed ," he said Monday during a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan.
"We know that meetings in different formats are being held, at both the level of ministers and heads of state. We, as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office are interested in making the contacts  more frequent,” he said.

"We believe that representatives of  civil societies should meet more often. Ukraine is ready to assist in this matter the parties to Karabakh conflict and provide its territory for roundtables and conferences. Ukraine also supports any effort designed to address the humanitarian consequences of the conflict, " he added. -0-
