OSCE monitoring of line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh passed without incidents

On March 19, in accordance with the agreement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Askeran direction, near Bash Karvend village, NKR foreign ministry reported.

STEPANAKERT, March 19. / ARKA /. On March 19, in accordance with the agreement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Askeran direction, near Bash Karvend village, NKR foreign ministry reported.
It said the monitoring passed without incidents.
From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk and his Field Assistant Irzhi Aberle (Czech Republic), as well as by representative of the OSCE High-Level Planning Group (HLPG) Andrey Barashkin (Russia).
From the positions of Azerbaijan the monitoring was conducted by Khristo Khristov, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk’s s Field Assistant and Peter Svedberg, a representative of the OSCE High-Level Planning Group.
The NKR authorities assisted in conducting the monitoring to ensure the security of the OSCE Mission members. -0-
