Pashinyan and Putin to have meeting in Kremlin on May 8
YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will have a meeting in the Kremlin on May 8 after a gathering of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov said.
"Problematic issues have recently accumulated between Armenia and Russia, which we expect will be frankly discussed between the leaders," Vedomosti newspaper noted him as saying.
Armenia is chairing the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in 2024.
Ushakov said that Armenia is one of the main "beneficiaries" of economic integration within the EEU and that "well-established trade and economic ties with Russia also bring great returns."
He said as a result Armenia is among the world leaders in terms of economic growth rates for the second year: 12.6% in 2022 and 8.7% in 2023.-0-
