Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Armenia on April 24 for the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire will not damage Russian-Turkish relations, Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesman, said answering the question whether the visit affect the prospects of the construction of Turkish Stream gas pipeline.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Armenia on April 24 for the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire will not damage Russian-Turkish relations, Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesman, said answering the question whether the visit affect the prospects of the construction of Turkish Stream gas pipeline.
«In this case these events can't be considered as damaging something,» he is quoted by TASS as saying.
«Our partnership with Turkish Republic is very close and it stands on a very firm basis of mutually beneficial cooperation. Our stances on many global problems coincide.»
Peskov stressed that Armenia is «our neighbor and the country, with which we are connected with billions of various threads». ---0-----
