Politics is for professional politicians only, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said on Thursday at a meeting of the Executive Body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Novosti-Armenia reported.
YEREVAN, February 12. / ARKA /. Politics is for professional politicians only, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said on Thursday at a meeting of the Executive Body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Novosti-Armenia reported.
"During the meeting President Sargsyan gave an assessment of the political situation in the country, in particular, noting that only professional politicians should be engaged in politics," parliament vice-speaker Edward Sharmazanov, a member of the Executive Body, told reporters.
Sharmazanov said the meeting was to discuss solely domestic issues. He said the president will come out with an extensive report.
After the meeting the ruling party will make a statement with an assessment of the political situation in the country.
Sharmazanov stressed that the meeting will not discuss constitutional reforms. -0-
