Premier: Armenian economy and finance ministries with newly appointed ministers to be able to solve problems
YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Armenian economy and finance ministries with newly appointed ministers, Vahram Avanesyan and David Sargsyan, will be able to solve problems effectively, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said today.

David Sargsyan was the head of the government’s staff before his new appointment. Now the government’s staff will be headed by Vache Gabrielyan, who was the finance minister in the previous Cabinet.

Yuri Vardanyan left his post of the president’s advisor for a ministerial seat – he is now the minister of sports and the youth. The other ministers remained in their offices.

“Vahram Avanesyan is one of the best economists of Armenia,” the prime minister said introducing the new minister to the economy ministry’s staff. “He has considerable work experience in state administration and in private sector. He knows all the problems to be solved by the government.”

He said that in recent years Avanesyan worked on economic studies, cooperated with the ministry and took part in elaboration of the Strategy of Sustainable Development for 2012-2025.

Sargsyan also said that Tigran Davtyan, former economy minister, will be the representative of Armenia in the World Trade Organization, and will do whatever necessary to promote Armenian exporters and rid them of the obstacles.

Introducing the newly appointed finance minister, David Sargsyan, the premier expressed appreciation of his knowledge and experience.
“There will be substantial reforms ahead,” he said. “It means finance ministry has plenty to do. I am convinced that under David Sargysan’s direction, the ministry’s staff will be able to solve problems.”
The prime minister also met with the government’s staff and introduced the new head, Vache Gabrielyan. He said that the staff will get ministerial status soon with new burden and new responsibilities.

The staff will coordinate ministries’ activities in implementing reforms in education, healthcare and administration system areas.--0----
