Premier: Yerevan interested in strengthening ties between Armenia and Russia

Armenia is interested in implementation of programs fostering development and extension of ties between Armenia and Russia, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said today as met with Ivan Volinkin, Russia’s newly appointed ambassador to Armenia.

YEREVAN, June 10. /ARKA/. Armenia is interested in implementation of programs fostering development and extension of ties between Armenia and Russia, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said today as met with Ivan Volinkin, Russia’s newly appointed ambassador to Armenia.
According to the Armenian government’s press office, the premier congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope for effectiveness of his mission in Armenia.
Volinkin, in return, said that he will make every effort to strengthen the Armenia-Russia cooperation.
Armenia’s integration in the European Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States as well as joint programs in enegy and finance areas were discussed at the meeting. -0-
