YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today his readiness to continue working towards Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization.

"We have done and continue to do everything for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, to ensure lasting peace in the South Caucasus,’ Putin said at a ceremony of accepting credentials from newly appointed ambassadors from 28 countries, including Armenian ambassador Gurgen Arsenyan.

He said Russia ill continue to assist in the work on the peace treaty (between Armenia and Azerbaijan) , the delimitation of their state border, and the unblocking of economic and transport ties in line with the trilateral agreements reached by the leaders of the three countries in 2020- 2022.

Putin also expressed satisfaction with the productive conversation between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan at the BRICS summit held in Kazan in October.

"I cannot help but express my satisfaction that the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia took advantage of the BRICS summit platform in Kazan and had a useful conversation on fundamental issues concerning the achievement of lasting peace and interethnic harmony in the region," Putin said.-0-
