President Sargsyan and European Parliament discuss issues related to Armenia-EU cooperation

Serge Sargsyan, the president of Armenia, met Wednesday the delegation of European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs headed by the deputy Andrey Kovatchev, the presidential press service reports.
YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. Serge Sargsyan, the president of Armenia, met Wednesday the delegation of European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs headed by the deputy Andrey Kovatchev, the presidential press service reports.
Sargsyan highlighted the importance of the delegation’s visit to Armenia as the deputies have a mission to assist in preparing a report on Armenia and the region.
The visits and contacts like this, according to the president, appear as a favorable opportunity to familiarize with the facts on the ground and build objective opinion.
The president and the delegation members also discussed the process of EU association negotiations that has been processed since July 2010 as well as the issues related to making a report on Armenia and the region. —0--
