YEREVAN, February 18. /ARKA/. The leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan urged countrymen on Wednesday to solve the problems exclusively by peaceful, lawful and political means, says the statement.
He said his aim has always been to be useful for the people and the country.
"In order to solve problems existing in the country we need not to wage wars against each other, but to peacefully work without insulting each other, to point out all existing shortcomings, find solutions and implement them”, Tsarukyan said.
Tsarukyan regretted the situation has recently taken a completely different course. The political council of the party disseminated a statement on Wednesday cancelling the urgent rally on February 20 amid the political tense in the country in order to avoid clashes.
“If the situation persists, no one will benefit from it and first of all our people will not benefit from it. It cannot continue like this, afterwards we all will be blaming each another,” he said.
Prosperous Armenia party leader said no goal can justify the blood of a single innocent person.
“It is the task of both the government and the opposition not to cross the reasonable limits,” he said adding all issues should be solved through peaceful, legal and political means.
Speaking last Thursday at a meeting of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, president Serzh Sargsyan criticized harshly the leader of Prosperous Armenia party tycoon Gagik Tsarukian and said Tsarukian, as a political actor, is an evil for the country. The president signed a decree withdrawing Tsarukian from the national security council due to his systematic failure to attend the council meetings. The president also instructed to look into cases of the tycoon’s absence in the parliament sessions and the rumors about his tax evasion.
The leader of the Prosperous Armenia, in turn, said the reason for the president’s statements is his refusal to contribute to the reproduction of the political power through a constitutional reform. In particular, the tycoon said he refused to become a president after the country turns to parliamentary form through constitutional amendments. –0--
