YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. Vladimir Putin, Russia’s president, in a phone talk with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan, expressed again his condolences over the Gyumri family killing, Kremlin's official website reports.

He also expressed hope that investigation will be conducted properly and quickly and all guilty people will be punished to the full extent of the law and that Russian doctors along with their Armenian colleagues will save the life of the six-month-old baby who survived the shooting.

The two countries' presidents also discussed relations between their countries.

Last Monday Armenian law-enforcement bodies said a Russian soldier, Valery Permyakov from the Russian military base in Gyumri was suspected of killing a couple, their son and daughter-in-law, a 2-year-old granddaughter, and an unmarried daughter. They all were found shot dead in their house on January 12. The couple's six-month-old grandson was hospitalized in a grave condition. Valery Permyakov was detained on January 13, shortly after midnight, while trying to cross the border into Turkey dressed in civilian clothing. He confessed his guilt. ---0----
