YEREVAN, March 11. /ARKA/. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed satisfaction with the basis of Armenian-Russian relations as met with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan Thursday in Moscow, Kremlin’s official website reported.
He is quoted on the website as saying that these relations are successful despite some objective problems, especially economic problems.
Putin called this cooperation strategic partnership. He expressed hope that Armenia’s chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization this year will be effective.
“I hope it will be possible to talk to you as chair of this international organization, since this very organization is in charge of security, struggle against terrorism and organized crimes and calm on our borders,” he said. «Armenia’s representative, not as a national representative, but already as an international official but still your colleague, is the head of the Eurasian Economic Union. We have plenty to discuss.»
