A deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov from the governing Republican Party of Armenia has shrugged off media allegations about imminent resignation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and replacement of his cabinet.
YEREVAN, December 26. / ARKA /. A deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov from the governing Republican Party of Armenia has shrugged off media allegations about imminent resignation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and replacement of his cabinet.
Speaking to reporters, Sharmazanov said the assessment of governments and the credibility in them in all democratic countries are expressed by parliamentarians and political forces through approval of their plans of actions and budgets.
"The government's program and the budget for 2014 were approved by the parliamentary majority. Therefore, replacing the prime minister or his cabinet is not on the agenda," Sharmaznaiv said.
The 2014 budget went through on December 12. It was backed by 70 deputies and rejected by 40. -0-
