Russia is sincerely interested in the full normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

YEREVAN, May 21. /ARКА/. Russia is sincerely interested in the full normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"We consider the set of trilateral agreements at the highest level between the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and the prime minister of Armenia, reached in 2020-2022, to be a solid basis for this. We welcomed the agreement on the text of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and are ready to help resolve all issues that now need to be resolved for the full signing of this document," Lavrov said at an extended meeting between the two delegations in Yerevan on Wednesday.
According to him, "you can always count on us in unblocking transport and economic communications, in delimiting the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in resolving all humanitarian issues arising in this regard, taking into account the interests of each of the parties."

On March 13, the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed the fact of agreeing on the draft Treaty "On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan" and the completion of negotiations on its agreement. The Armenian side stated that the document is ready for signing and that Yerevan is ready to begin consultations with Baku on the timing and place of its signing.
According to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the current content of the draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan can be considered the option of mutual concessions that is acceptable to Armenia. He noted that the two points of the draft treaty, on which the parties could not reach an agreement for some time, but came to a compromise, concern the non-deployment of third-country forces along the entire length of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, as well as the mutual withdrawal of claims filed against each other in international courts and the non-implementation of actions against each other.
The President of Azerbaijan also pointed out these two disagreements earlier. Baku has put forward a number of new demands to Yerevan as a precondition for signing a peace treaty, including reforming the Armenian Constitution and dissolving the OSCE Minsk Group. -0-
