Russian federal TV channels should pay more attention to Armenia – Armenian party leader
YEREVAN, July 14. /ARKA/. Russian federal TV channels should pay more attention to Armenia, head of the Democratic Party of Armenia Aram Sargsyan said.

Almost nothing is broadcast about Armenia on the Russian federal channels, which is difficult to understand, as Armenia is a strategic partner to Russia and the Russian society should be aware what is happening in Armenia, Sargsyan said at Yerevan-Moscow video bridge on Armenia’s Eurasian choice in Novosti international press center.

Sargsyan also pointed to lack of media coverage of the advantages of the Eurasian integration for Armenia.

Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan said at an extended Eurasian Economic Union meeting in Astana on May 29 that Yerevan would join the Union by mid June. However, the respective documetns have not been signed yet.

On July 1, Russia’s president Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Russian diplomats that Armenia would become a full-fledged member of the union very soon.

According to recent mass media reports, Kazakhstani foreign minister Erlan Idrisov said the agreement on Armenia’s accession to the EEU will be most probably signed in October. –0—
