Russian Foreign Ministry lashes out at Armenia for participation in Zelensky's peace formula talks in Malta

YEREVAN, November 2. /ARKA/. A Russian diplomat lashed out at Armenia today for sending an official to attend the two-day talks in Malta last month on Ukraine's plan for peace with the participation of more than 65 countries.
Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for Russian Foreign Ministry, said Moscow views Armenia’s participation as a ‘demonstratively anti-Russian gesture.’
"I would like to remind that earlier the wife of Armenian Prime Minister Anna Hakobyan visited Kiev and Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan contacted with Ukrainian parliament speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk in Dublin. Pashinyan himself met with Zelensky in Granada. Yerevan should realize that this is a demonstrative flirtation with those who aggressively oppose Russia, and there is no other definition," she said at a press briefing on Thursday.
Zakharova expressed regret that Armenia’s leadership is ‘purposefully and persistently destroying its allied relations with Russia.’
he also accused a number of media outlets in Armenia, which she claimed are paid through resources affiliated with state bodies of anti-Russian rhetoric and unconcealed Russophobia.
Armenia participated for the first time in the peace formula talks proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It was represented by Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan. --0--
