Armenia's cooperation with other CSTO member countries is one of its foreign policy's top priorities, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was quoted by a correspondent of Novosti-Armenia in Moscow as saying Tuesday at a session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization's Collective Security Council.
YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. Armenia's cooperation with other CSTO member countries is one of its foreign policy's top priorities, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was quoted by a correspondent of Novosti-Armenia in Moscow as saying Tuesday at a session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization's Collective Security Council.
«We are ready to cooperate intensively with partners in compliance with the Collective Security Treaty's provisions,» the president said.
He thanked Russian colleagues for chairing the organization in 2014 and for significant contribution to buildup of interaction among CSTO members.
Sargsyan said important work has been done to ensure further development of political, military and technical cooperation and to resist challenges and threats.
He also thanked the organization's board and Secretary General Nikolay Borduzha personally for their work.
«The documents we are adopting today imply collective and coordinated reaction to challenges and problems,» he said. «I am convinced that they will contribute to development of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to the benefit of our countries...»
Stressing the importance of the measures being taken for improving military and technical cooperation, Sargyan that creation of collective aviation will be a very timely step in development of military cooperation among the member countries.
Sargsyan also congratulated Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on assuming CSTO chairmanship by his country for 2015 and wished him success. --0----
