The magnitude of Azerbaijani disinformation surges dramatically - Armenian defense ministry says

YEREVAN, June 2. /ARKA/. Armenia's Defense Ministry has denied today Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's allegations that around 40 Armenian military personnel had crossed into Azeri territory on Tuesday evening and were forced to retreat to their original positions."
“It is obvious that such disinformation is being spread by Azerbaijan to make the international community believe that the Armenian armed forces are trying to aggravate the tension in the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone. Such disinformation in an attempt to counterbalance the provocations carried out by Azerbaijani troops that advanced into the Armenian territory on May 12 and 13," the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
It said that neither on June 1 nor on previous days, Armenian military personnel crossed the border of Azerbaijan. It also said the volume of disinformation disseminated by the defense department of this country has surged dramatically recently.
"In particular, a few days ago, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry claimed that the Armenian side had opened fire both on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and on Azerbaijani positions in the direction of Shushi, (in Nagorno-Karabakh) which, of course, was refuted, respectively, by the Armenian defense department and the command of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh," the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry said. -0-
