Three Karabakh soldiers killed when repelling Azeri attack

Three soldiers of the Nagorno-Karabakh armed forces were killed today when repelling an attempt by Azerbaijani troops to intrude the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the press service of Nagorno-Karabakh defense ministry said.
YEREVAN, March 19. / ARKA /. Three soldiers of the Nagorno-Karabakh armed forces were killed today when repelling an attempt by Azerbaijani troops to intrude the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the press service of Nagorno-Karabakh defense ministry said.
It said the attack occurred on March 19 at 08:30 local time. A special forces squad attacked Karabakh positions deployed in the northern direction (Gulistan). After nearly two-hour battle Karabakh troops made the Azeri squad flee. Then they pursued and completely destroyed it on the outskirts of the enemy positions.
The killed soldiers are privates Hakob Khachatryan (born in 1996), Edward Hayrapetyan (born in 1995) and Arshak Harutyunyan (born in 1995); another four soldiers were wounded.
"The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic defense ministry shares this heavy grief and expresses its support to family members, relatives and colleagues of the killed servicemen. Other circumstances of the incident and evidence will be presented later," it said.-0-
