Turkey will acknowledge Armenian genocide sooner or later - Armenia’s deputy foreign minister
YEREVAN, April 24. /ARKA/. The whole world, including Turkey will have to acknowledge the Armenian genocide sooner or later, Armenia’s deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said after his visit to Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial Thursday.

“It is very important how well we are prepared and how consistent we are. Our consistency will produce a result sooner or later. Turkey will have to acknowledge the Armenian genocide”, Kocharyan said.

According to the deputy minister, the April 23 statement of Turkish premier Recep Erdogan shows the Turkey will admit to the genocide sooner or later.

Yesterday Erdogan made the first-ever statement on Armenian genocide and expressed his condolences to grandchildren of Armenians killed in the events of the beginning of XX century.

The 1915 Armenian genocide has been acknowledged by many countries worldwide, but is still denied by modern Turkey that uses diplomatic pressure to prevent international recognition and condemnation.—0--
