YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. The Republican Party of Armenia has no issue of transferring from presidential to republican rule on its agenda, vice-speaker of Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters after RPA’s executive council meeting, Novosti-Armenia reported.

In commenting the newly created commission for constitutional reforms, Sharmazanov has not specified which issues will be within its competence. Commission members will present the issues themselves, once they start working, he said.

Under a presidential decree of September 4, a commission was set up to deal with constitutional reforms. The commission is instructed to submit a constitutional reform concept to the president by April 20, 2014, after which the commission will have to develop a detailed draft reform package.  –0—
