U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defense arrives in Armenia for bilateral defense consultations

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia said Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia, U.S. Department of Defense Dr. Evelyn Farkas, is arriving in Armenia for a series of bilateral defense consultations from December 18 to 19.
YEREVAN, December 17. / ARKA /. The U.S. Embassy in Armenia said Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia, U.S. Department of Defense Dr. Evelyn Farkas, is arriving in Armenia for a series of bilateral defense consultations from December 18 to 19.
During her visit, Dr. Farkas will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, and experts from the academic community.
This visit highlights the strong and expanding cooperation between the United States and Armenia in the area of defense.
Topics of Dr. Farkas’ discussions will include areas of cooperation that are beneficial to both countries such as coalition and peacekeeping operations, training between Armenian military and forces from the U.S. European Command and the Kansas National Guard, and regional security. -0-
