Voting in Armenia’s parliamentary elections running properly – head of Central Electoral Commission

Tigran Mukuchyan, head of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, told journalists Sunday morning that the voting in the parliamentary elections was running in due way.

YEREVAN, April 2. /ARKA/. Tigran Mukuchyan, head of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, told journalists Sunday morning that the voting in the parliamentary elections was running in due way.
He said that polling stations have been opened today at 8:00 and the information will be updated once in every three hours and the commission will start providing results in tables at 24:00 local time.
There are 2,009 polling stations in the country, and 12 of them, which are in penitentiary facilities, will be opened later.
Mukuchyan said that 15,976 citizens were included in the territorial electoral commissions, and the number of absent members of the commissions is insignificant – almost all the members of the commission came to their polling stations on time.
In his words, polling stations are equipped with up-to-date devises.
As many as 650 international delegates and 28,021 representatives from 49 local nongovernmental organizations are observing the election.
There are 2,564,195 citizens eligible to vote in Armenia. --0----
