Yerevan, Lima to appoint ambassadors, honorary consuls

Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan and his Peruvian counterpart Eda Rivas discussed bilateral cooperation and development of diplomatic relations, the press office of Armenian foreign ministry reported.
YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan and his Peruvian counterpart Eda Rivas discussed bilateral cooperation and development of diplomatic relations, the press office of Armenian foreign ministry reported.
The sides reached an agreement to accredit ambassadors with concurrent accreditation, appoint honorary consuls, set up a legal framework, hold consultations between the two foreign ministries, intensify cooperation in international organizations, develop framework agreements on economy and simplified visa regime to be signed at a high-level meeting in the near future.
Armenian foreign minister is currently in Peru as part of his Latin American tour on January 6-11. Nalbandyan is expected to visit also Panama and Cuba.
It is the first visit of Armenian foreign minister to Lima over 21 years of bilateral diplomatic relations. –0—
