The Yerevan Municipality will release 80 million drams for displaying Armenia’s national flag in all 12 administrative districts of the capital, deputy mayor Kamo Areyan said today.
YEREVAN, January 22 . / ARKA /. The Yerevan Municipality will release 80 million drams for displaying Armenia’s national flag in all 12 administrative districts of the capital, deputy mayor Kamo Areyan said today.
"Armenian tricolor should be present in all administrative districts of Yerevan, as required by the law, Areyan said at a press conference on Wednesday.
He said the city authorities intend also to hoist larger flags in different parts of the city as is the practice in almost all cities of the world .
Armenia’s national flag is a rectangular cloth of three equal horizontal stripes of red, blue and orange. The tricolor was adopted by the parliament in 1990. ($ 1 - 406.37 drams). -0-
