Armenia’s capital will host an international conference that will discuss integration of national and regional peacemaking forces in the global system of peacekeeping operations based on UN principles and standards.   The gathering is scheduled for July 1 and 2.

YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s capital will host an international conference that will discuss integration of national and regional peacemaking forces in the global system of peacekeeping operations based on UN principles and standards.   The gathering is scheduled for July 1 and 2.

The forum is organized by the Armenian defense ministry’s Institute for National Strategic Studies, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Center for Euro-Atlantic Security of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the Russian Political Science Association and Armenian Political Science Association.  

The forum will be attended by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and representatives of the CSTO and international organizations’ offices in Armenia.

Experts from UN, OSCE, EU, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Paguosh Movement of Scientists and Stockholm International Peace research Institute are expected to speak at the forum. 

Specialists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belgium, Israel, Italy, the South African Republic, the Netherlands, Sweden and China will attend the event as well. 

Besides, diplomats from CSTO member countries and OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries are invited for this event. -0---
