YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. Prosperous Armenia party will never cooperate with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Naira Zohrabyan, the head of Prosperous Armenia’s faction in the National Assembly said Friday in parliamentary briefings.
Zohrabyan is quoted by Novosti-Armenia as saying that she doesn’t believe in one-year cooperation, especially under the power monopoly.
“I am convinced that the 2017 parliamentary elections will change political things in Armenia,” she said.
In her words, Prosperous Armenia is a party of freethinkers, and that is why there are people among her fellow partisans who would like to accept a cooperation offer from the Republican Party of Armenia.
Prosperous Party portrays itself as a liberal-leaning moderate centrist political force. It was established in 2004 by Gagik Tsarukyan, the head of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia, the president of Multi Group and also an MP.
Now another party, Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun, is negotiating with the ruling party to obtain ministerial seats. --0----
