Twenty eight prisoners died in Armenia’s penitentiary facilities in 2015 against 38 one year earlier, the press office of the penal division of the Armenian justice ministry reported on Thursday.
YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. Twenty eight prisoners died in Armenia’s penitentiary facilities in 2015 against 38 one year earlier, the press office of the penal division of the Armenian justice ministry reported on Thursday.
Of the reported deaths, three were suicide-caused deaths against four in 2014.
Some 76,911 requests for outpatient treatment were received in 2015 against 85,408 in 2014 and 953 for inpatient treatment against 822 in 2014. .
Nine life-term prisoners had their closed regime replaced with semi-closed one.
Some 2,458 mobile phones and 484 grams of drugs were seized in 2015.
There are 1,116 detainees and 2,753 convicts in Armenia’s penitentiary facilities. --0----
