About 4 thousand teachers in Armenia already receive increased salaries based on the results of certification
YEREVAN, October 29. /ARKA/. Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan reported that based on the results of voluntary certifications conducted in 2021-2023, about 4 thousand teachers are already receiving increased salaries.
"The salary of more than 280 teachers is 400 thousand drams (over $1000) and more, and quite a large number of teachers receive from 300 thousand drams to 400 thousand drams. If we take into account other mechanisms of additional payments, then we can say that more than half of the teachers (who passed certification) receive 300 thousand drams and more," the minister said at parliamentary discussions of the 2025 budget.
She added that in November of this year, electronic certification of teachers will be organized for the first time. At the moment, more than 6 thousand teachers have registered to participate in it. -0-
