Adviser to the prime minister of Armenia in charge of assessing and promoting innovative projects passed away yesterday from an acute heart attack at the age of 66, the government reported Monday.

YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. Adviser to the prime minister of Armenia in charge of assessing and promoting innovative projects passed away yesterday from an acute heart attack at the age of 66, the government reported Monday.
“Araik Ter-Martirosyan was an outstanding individual, a man who could dream and make even most challenging dreams, to make our country more prosperous, come true. Araik Ter-Martirosyan will always remain in our hearts,” the source stated.
To bid farewell to Ter-Martirosyan, people can attend the ceremony on Monday, 18:00, at Surb Hovhannes Mkrtych Church, 15 Hovhannes Kozerni (Kond district, Yerevan).
Araik Ter-Martirosyan, a descendant of native Zangezurians coming from Kemants village of Syunik region, was born in Yerevan on 27 February 1948. In 1966 he finished school after A.Mravyan. After military service (1967-1969) he entered Department of Economics at Yerevan State University.
Upon the graduation in 1975, he started working at “Armselkhozmekhanizaciya” Institute (Armenian agricultural mechanization), then at Regional center of youth research and technical activity in Hrazdan town.
In 1993-1994 Ter-Martirosyan worked at the government of Armenia -Economic Reforms Management Division.
From 1994 to 1999 headed Financial-investment corporation of the government, then worked at the Central Bank as an adviser to the chairman, expert of economic research. Since 2009 has been an adviser to the prime minister. -0-
