Armenia's Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said another 8 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed today, bringing the total number of people infected with covid 19 to 72.

YEREVAN, March 17. /ARKA/. Armenia's Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said another 8 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed today, bringing the total number of people infected with covid 19 to 72.
The minister emphasized in a Facebook posting that some of the infected people had been already isolated, and the circle of people with whom they contacted is being specified.
According to Torosyan, one of the new cases of infection is related to the town of Etchmiadzin, and the remaining 7 are from a Yerevan-based enterprise, who had also been isolated.
The first case of coronavirus infection in Armenia was confirmed on March 1. The patient has already recovered and was discharged from the hospital. Among those infected are Armenian citizens from Iran and Italy (residents of Yerevan, Etchmiadzin, Meghri and Charentsavan), people who contacted with them, as well as one Italian citizen and a visitor from France. The vast majority of those infected (38 people), including one schoolchild, are residents of Etchmiadzin. --0
