YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. Another 90 buses imported by private companies have replenished the Yerevan bus fleet.

The new buses were obtained in the framework of a municipal public transport reform, which envisages reducing the number of minibuses and replacing them with midibuses step by step.

“We will be continuing our negotiations with the private sector to replenish the municipal routes with another 200-300 buses to fully meet the existing demand”, Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan said during his trip in one of the new buses.

Since the beginning of 2012, some 350 buses have been imported to Armenia. The number of public buses in Yerevan will reach about 760 by the end of the year. –0--
