YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. A memorandum of cooperation in the field of protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and their social integration has been signed between Armenia and Italy, the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reports on Facebook.

The document was signed by Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan and Italian Minister for Persons with Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli.

The memorandum was signed in view of the importance of improving policy development in the field of social protection, as well as international partnership and exchange of experience, organization of meetings, conferences, research, and industry discussions.

The main areas of cooperation include protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and the services provided to them, legislative reforms, inclusive labor market policies, promoting independent living, and improving social security mechanisms.-0-
