Armenia’s confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 1523

As of 11:00 on Thursday, April 23, there were 659 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report.

YEREVAN, April 23. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Thursday, April 23, there were 659 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report.
In total, 1,523 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 24 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that there are 50 new cases, compared with yesterday’s report.
According to the center, 15,960 tests for coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 840 COVID-19 patients are being treated now.
A state of emergency in order to suppress the spread of the coronavirus operates in Armenia from March 16 to April 14. Restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activity in Armenia in a state of emergency (previously imposed for the period from March 24 to March 31) were extended until April 12 inclusive.
On April 13, the government extended the state of emergency for another month - until 17:00 on May 14, 2020 inclusive, expanding the list of business areas that are allowed to work again. -0---
