Armenia’s confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 21717

As of 11:00 on Wednesday, June 24, there were 10,797 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 21,717 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 386 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 711 new infection cases, 653 new recovery cases and 14 deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Wednesday, June 24, there were 10,797 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 21,717 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 386 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 711 new infection cases, 653 new recovery cases and 14 deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.
The 14 people who died yesterday were seven women aged 64, 73, 62, 76, 76, 68 and 68 and seven men aged 79, 65, 64, 68, 83, 83 and 83. They all had chronic diseases.
As many as 130 people infected with the coronavirus have died in the country from other diseases.
According to the report, 100,400 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 10,404 COVID-19 patients are being treated now.
A state of emergency was declared in Armenia on March 16, 2020 to curb the spread of the coronavirus, and then extended three times. The latest decision, dated from June 12, extends the state of emergency until 17:00 July 13. -0---
