Armenia’s confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 3392 – 79 new-infected people over one day

As of 11:00 on Monday, May 11, there were 1,359 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 3,392 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 46 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 79 new infection cases and one death have been recorded since yesterday’s report. Seventeen coronavirus-positive people died from other diseases.

YEREVAN, May 11. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Monday, May 11, there were 1,359 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 3,392 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 46 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 79 new infection cases and one death have been recorded since yesterday’s report. Seventeen coronavirus-positive people died from other diseases.
According to the center, 32,561 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 1,970 COVID-19 patients are being treated now.
The health ministry says the coronavirus-infected man, 69, who died yesterday had concomitant chronic diseases. Another two coronavirus-positive patients died yesterday, but their deaths had other causes.
A state of emergency in order to suppress the spread of the coronavirus operates in Armenia from March
16 to April 14. Restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activity in Armenia in a state of emergency (previously imposed for the period from March 24 to March 31) were extended until April 12 inclusive.
On April 13, the government extended the state of emergency for another month - until 17:00 on May 14, 2020 inclusive, expanding the list of business areas that are allowed to work again. --0---
