Armenia's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs explained today how pensions and social benefits will be paid in the state of emergency, declared by the government to stop the spread of coronavirus.
YEREVAN, March 24. /ARKA/. Armenia's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs explained today how pensions and social benefits will be paid in the state of emergency, declared by the government to stop the spread of coronavirus.
The ministry said an agreement was reached with the national postal operator Haypost CJSC that the company's employees will personally visit the beneficiaries in their homes to hand pensions and benefits received in cash.
"There is no need to visit the Haypost branches," the ministry said. When visiting houses, all HayPost employees will be provided with personal protective equipment, masks and disinfectants.

The minsitry called all citizens to refrain from visiting Haypost offices and other crowded places.
The Armenian government delcraed a 30-day state of emergency on March 16 with the goal of curbing the spread of coronavirus. As of March 24, 235 cases of coronavirus were confirmed. Two patients recovered from the coronavirus and were discharged from the hospital. ($ 1 - 495.01 dram). -0-
