By a unanimous vote of 87 the Armenian parliament passed today in the second and final reading a set of changes to the law on pensions, entitling refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh to receiving pensions and allowances in Armenia.

YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. By a unanimous vote of 87 the Armenian parliament passed today in the second and final reading a set of changes to the law on pensions, entitling refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh to receiving pensions and allowances in Armenia.

The refugees will have the right to receive pensions and allowances, provided that they meet a set of requirements set forth by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

Pensions and allowances will be paid regardless of whether the eligible refugees received them in Nagorno-Karabakh or not. The refugees need to submit applications to the authorized bodies.

In cases when a person did not receive a pension in Nagorno-Karabakh, but now qualifies for it he/she should personally apply to any territorial department of the Unified Social Service in order to receive it in Armenia. -0-
