Artsakh authorities ban citizens from leaving republic due to coronavirus

Authorities in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) have temporary banned their citizens from leaving the republic.
YEREVAN, April 20. /ARKA/. Authorities in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) have temporary banned their citizens from leaving the republic. The ban comes into force on April 22. The restrictions will not apply to truck drivers and persons accompanying them.
According to the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh president, truck drivers and accompanying persons should have the authorization of local tax authorities. An exception is also made for persons in need of urgent medical help, however, they need to have the permission of local health authorities.
Citizens will be allowed to leave Artsakh also to participate in funerals of close relatives. Persons participating in official visits are also allowed to leave Artsakh. They need to have a written or electronic order from the president, the speaker of parliament of the state minister.
An exception is made for military personnel and those accompanying military equipment , necessary for the Artsakh Defense Army, for those members of families of Artsakh citizens who are citizens of other states. Artsakh police are ordered to report daily to the state minister on the situation on the border check point.
On April 12, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan introduced an emergency regime throughout the republic due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus.
As of April 17, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Artsakh reached seven. Two recovered. The first case of COVID-19 infection was detected on April 7th. - 0-
