As many as 4,919 people died in Armenia in January-February,up 3% y/y

YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. As many as 4,919 people died in Armenia in January-February 2025, which is 3.1% more than the figure for the same period of 2024б the National Statistical Committee said.
More than half of the people (53.8% or 2,643 people) died due to diseases of the circulatory system; this indicator is 2% less than in the same period of 2024.
The second place among the causes of death was neoplasms (17.4% or 856 people, a decrease of 1.6%).
Other causes of death also include respiratory diseases (11.3% or 555 people, up 11.2%), digestive diseases (5.1% or 249 people, up 5.5%), external causes of morbidity and mortality (2.7% or 132 people, up 1.5%), endocrine system diseases (2.1% or 106 people, up 34.2%), and infectious diseases (1% or 50 people, up 38.9%). -0-
