Caucasus Nature Fund releases 344 thousand euros to four Armenian nature reserves

The Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) has released the second tranche of the fiscal year 2019 in the amount of about 344 thousand euros to four nature reserves under the Ministry of Environment of Armenia.
YEREVAN, October 14. /ARKA/. The Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) has released the second tranche of the fiscal year 2019 in the amount of about 344 thousand euros to four nature reserves under the Ministry of Environment of Armenia.
The fund said in a news release that the money was provided to the State Khosrov Forest Reserve (about 101 thousand euros), the Zangezur Biosphere Complex (100 thousand euros), the Dilijan National Parks (98 thousand euros) and the Lake Arpi (45 thousand euros).
Thanks to this assistance, the Caucasus Nature Fund will continue to co-finance the current costs of these protected areas with the aim of effective implementation of programs designed to preserve them, and introduce innovative approaches.
It is said that the first tranche of financial assistance for approximately the same amount was allocated at the beginning of the year.
For 10 years, the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) has been helping specially protected areas of Armenia, carrying out its strategic mission to ensure the preservation of Armenia’s unique biodiversity .-- 0--
